We had a week of excitement at Airventure this year. The week kicked off with us partnering with Dennis Dent of Airfasco, who has acquired the Kelly Aerospace oil filter line and will begin production upon receipt of FAA approvals. The ES series filters will be available in a variety of color options as well as customized to meet the distributor, FBO or owner needs. Plane Parts issued Airfasco their first PO and we look forward to taking delivery soon. We also signed on with Grove Aircraft to distribute their now FAA/PMA’d brake linings. Grove also offers STC kits for early Piper aircraft to convert to a tradition wheel and brake configuration as well brake reservoirs, parking brakes, replacement 5″ and 6″ axles and hub caps. The Grove lining is designed to be a longer lasting, higher quality lining competitively priced to compete with the Cleveland, Rapco and other linings on the market.
Amazon store
In July 2016 we opened our Amazon store and helped launch a new category within Amazon for aviation. Many of the products we assemble as well as our more common lamps, Milton products and filters can be found on Amazon.
Milton Industries
In July of 2016, we became the Aviation Distributor for Milton Industries. The partnership is bring new Milton aviation products into the market such as their C1065 aircraft tire service kit which allows an FBO, MRO or operator to service any aircraft from a cub to A380. the inline (site lens) style gauges offer 0-150psi and 150-600psi servicing. They are currently working on a complete line of strut and tire servicing adaptors and kits. Their 936 tire pressure gauge is a great deal and small enough to carry on board the aircraft. The C1064 offers a 0-400psi gauge for Corporate aircraft as well as smaller aircraft. The kits are available with the gauges pre calibrated for an additional fee. Their new C1007 tire service adaptor allows for quick inflation and screws onto the tire for safe inflation.
Stainless hardware kits
In June of 2016 we started assembling and branding our stainless kits. We offer stainless kits for most general aviation aircraft to include American Champion, Beech, Bellanca, Cessna, Piper and Mooney. We also offer hardware assortments that include our deluxe stainless kit, a 2400pc assortment of sheet metal, truss head and countersunk machine screw, flat washers, lock nuts and tinnerman washers. We also offer stainless and cad plated nut assortments, and stainless and cad plated flat washer assortments.
Great Lakes Aero Products
May 2016 – Great Lakes Aero Products partners with Plane Parts, bringing their complete line of FAA/PMA and OEM windshields, side glass and rear windows for most of the general aviation aircraft. Along with windows, they also offer a large selection of wingtip lenses and wing landing light lenses. Great Lakes Aero Products, based in Flint, Michigan has been making replacement transparencies for decades. Their finished goods are of the finest in the industries and generally require very little trimming.
Norman Lamps
May 2016, we partner with Norman Lamps, a lighting manufacturer based in St, Charles, Illinois. Norman Lamps product offering consists of virtually every sealed beam, miniature, and navigation light used in the aviation marketplace as well as military applications. IN addition to the aircraft lamp line, Norman also manufacturers replacement runway lamps and offers a complete line of industrial and household lighting to include CFLs and LED bulbs.
Omega Aircraft Articles
in April 2016 Omega Aircraft partners with Plane Parts and we become a stocking distributor for this rapidly growing PMA manufacturer of wheel and brake parts to support the general aviation, business and commercial airline markets. Key wear and high replacement items have been a focus for Omega and has a vast array of PMA products that bring a high quality and a lower cost solution. From pressure plate assemblies for the Cleveland brake line to wear pads, rivets and stationary discs for corporate jets, Omega is bringing value added to the our aviation community. Omega Aircraft is based in Big Bend, Wisconsin.
Trimcraft Aviation
In April of 2016 , the iconic parts manufacturer Trimcraft partners with Plane Parts and awards us with a distributorship. Trimcraft is well known for it’s engine baffle seals, stainless hardware, nose and main strut seal kits, trim and fairing seals, compass repair kit, brake master cylinder seal kit, as well as it’s PMA’s on nav lights. We will be stocking most of their products. Plane Parts Opens
On April 1, 2016 Plane Parts is formed. Original a small aircraft lighting distributor (Plane Lights ), we aspired to much more. We have our website and our Ebay store packed with common aircraft consumables. Our goal is to be a affordable wholesaler and retailer with the aircraft owner in mind. We support Upper Midwest Manufacturers and will continue with that philosophy as we grow and look to expand our product offering.
