How an Airplane Parts Store Might Be a Sign of an Improving Downtown Rhinelander

A new storefront in downtown Rhinelander attracts few walk-in customers.

The store sells parts for commercial, business, and personal aircraft, even though it’s far from any major airport.

But although it doesn’t get much street traffic, the business plan and attitude of the owners might be a sign of a downtown on a gradual rise.

“If I was going to describe my business, I’m like the Napa Auto Parts for airplanes,” said Bob Lueder, the owner of Plane Parts Inc. in downtown Rhinelander.

Plane Parts partners with Cornet Bros. Coffee

We’ve teamed up with long time friends Jac and Pat Cornet, Co owners of Cornet Bros. Coffee. We proudly serve it here at our facility and may soon be shipping sample packs with our orders.

Cornet Bros. started in 1846 by August Cornet and his younger brother Henry Cornet with Cornet Bros. Cash Grocers located in St. Louis Missouri. It was there they started roasting coffee to sell in their stores and Cornet Bros. Coffee was born. This knowledge of coffee bean types, blending, and roasting has been passed down through the years to today’s owners. Five generations later, Cornet Bros. is owned by Cornet brothers  and is also a service-disabled veteran-owned small business.

USDA certified organic foods are from chemical-free soil. For coffee to be certified as organic, the coffee production process cannot include synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticide. The USDA National Organic Program extends far beyond the borders of our nation, as USDA inspectors verify that international coffee producers comply with growing regulations.
